by Ozarks Alliance member organizations, associations and clubs:

2006 Scholarship
In memory of Barbara
Epstein, Member/Teacher
This year the club will be awarding a $400
scholarship to each a traditional and non-traditional student.
Should no applications be received in one of the categories, two
will be selected from those submitted.
This scholarship will be rewarded on the basis of
academic ability and financial need. To assist the committee
in evaluating your application, please write a brief summary in 500
words or less. Information about yourself, your family,
outside activities/community involvement, your plans for the future
and why you would be a worthy recipient are all beneficial in the
evaluation process.

2006-2007
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
The
scholarship(s) will be awarded to applicants majoring in accounting
at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college, university, or
professional school of accountancy. The applicants should have
completed the equivalent of at least Intermediate Financial
Accounting I at the time of application. Scholarships may also be
awarded to accountants pursuing advanced degrees.
DUE DATE
Completed
applications for the scholarship must be post-marked on or before
December 31, 2006.
NUMBER, AMOUNT, AND TYPE OF AWARD
The funds
available and the quality of the applicants shall determine the
amount and number of scholarships

The completed
application should contain the following information:
- Application
Form
- Grade
Verification of accounting grades and overall GPA. (An official
school transcript or you may have your school’s accounting
department head or other equivalent school administrator certify
your accounting grades and overall GPA)
- A letter by
applicant to the ASWA scholarship committee addressing career
objectives, the reason for applying for the scholarship, and
other information that shows why the applicant should receive
the scholarship.
